The purpose of Assignment Three, “Target Markets,” is to help students gain a deeper understanding of the target market selection process and key market segmentation variables. To effectively meet the requirements of Assignment Three, students should read Chapter Six in the textbook and refer to at least three additional sources discussing the evolving market for electric automobiles. After reading Chapter Six and several articles about the electric automobile market, please provide thorough responses to the following questions. Each response to the five questions should be at least 250 words.
What is the most effective targeting strategy for electric cars: undifferentiated or differentiated? Please explain.
Describe several viable consumer target markets for electric cars. Why do you think each is a viable target market?
Describe several business target markets for electric cars. Why do you think each is a viable target market?
Describe at least four reasons why carmakers are investing billions of dollars in developing electric cars.
Based on observations, it appears that very few students at Albany State University drive electric automobiles. Describe at least three reasons why you think so few students drive electric automobiles.
Your completed assignment should contain at least 250 words and include a proper heading. Number the responses to the questions. The assignment must be submitted as an attached Microsoft Word document only.
