Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words: Describe an area of your work or life that you have identified as a place where you could execute more effectively. What have you learned in the course that would help you be successful in leadership? something that i need to work on i believe would to be more confident and assertive. throughout this course i have learned that leadership could change your work and personal life for better as long as it is applied correctly. confidence in myself and what i do will help me be more successful in life and self development will assist me in my leadership journey part 2

An area of work that I have identified as a place where I can execute more effectively is my effective decision-making skills. I am the main person who runs a front desk for a large behavioral health organization with over thirty providers and we see on average two hundred people a day. This means we have to decided what tasks need to be completed right away and what can wait. We are required to complete many different tasks throughout the day. The front desk ensures that the whole clinic runs smoothly.
I have learned in this course that will help me be successful in my leadership is that everyone is benefits from knowing the why behind things. I have always been a curious person and wondered why things are done the way that they are. It is comforting knowing that this is something that actually makes a person a better worker and is something that can make a person a better leader. I love to learn new things and always seem to have random facts of knowledge.

An area of my work where I could execute more effectively is time management, particularly in balancing my diverse responsibilities as a Care Coordinator and team lead. Wearing multiple hats within a small company often leads to juggling various tasks, which can sometimes hinder my ability to prioritize strategically. I’ve noticed that while I can effectively manage urgent needs, there is room to improve in planning for long-term projects, such as developing care plans and fostering member engagement with a more proactive approach.
Through my leadership course and reading The Emotionally Intelligent Leader by Daniel Goleman, I’ve learned that self-awareness and emotional intelligence are crucial for effective leadership. Understanding my tendencies toward empathy and people-pleasing, which align with my INFP personality type, I’ve realized that I need to set clearer boundaries and delegate more tasks to my team. This will allow me to focus on high-priority items while empowering others. Additionally, the course has emphasized the importance of collaboration and conflict resolution. By fostering stronger communication and leveraging team strengths, I can enhance both my leadership and overall organizational effectiveness.
